Antenna Factory's mission, to provide quality antennas and services to its customers, requires the right tools and machinery. Antenna Factory has a variety of high-tech equipment available on-hand that enables them to fulfill this mission. This is accomplished, in part, with the help of our Model Shop with a variety of machine tools and accessories, including milling machines, saws, lathe, sanding equipment and hand tools.
Testing
One of Antenna Factory's most valuable and unique features is the fact that we offer both in-house rapid prototyping and testing services using a tapered anechoic far-field chamber (100 MHz to 40 GHz) to a spherical near to far-field chamber (400 MHz and 6 GHz). Having these testing capabilities not only facilitates the design process but also validates our products.
Antenna Factory operates a series of indoor and outdoor antenna ranges and chambers. These facilities support research and development, production development, and in-production testing. Antenna Factory test facilities support programs for antenna and system integration from HF to millimeter wave with direction-finding, RF-signature measurement, and precision antenna gain/pattern capabilities.
Antenna measurement facilities and capabilities include the following:
A 6-cubic-foot quiet zone, 50-foot-long compact range
A 6-cubic-foot quiet-zone, 100-foot-long tapered chamber
An outdoor, far-field, true-free-space range
A microwave/millimeter wave anechoic chamber
Six outdoor bubble HF/VHF/UHF/microwave ground-plane ranges (including a 640-foot range)
A 90-plus-acre RF field test range with 100-foot-high accessible transmit tower
An RF systems integration and test lab
A material measurement lab
A wafer probe measurement lab
An RF-circuit and test-fixture rapid-prototyping lab
Large Anechoic Chamber
24 ft wide x 40 ft deep x 25 ft tall with adjacent control room
Frequency range
2 KHz to 110 GHz
Data acquisition
Fully-automated system for all range configurations, controlled by an MI-3000 Data Acquisition and Analysis Workstation running the latest MI software.
Small Anechoic Chamber
15 ft wide x 20 ft deep x 15 ft tall with absorber, adjacent to control room.
Configuration
Equipped for planar, cylindrical or spherical near-field measurements.
Measurements
The MI-3000 can acquire most standard range parameters such as amplitude, phase, polarization and gain measurements. System parameters such as transmitter EIRP or receiver sensitivity can be measured or computed in post processing.
140 Foot Test Range
Our 140 foot Test Range is equipped with an azimuth over elevation positioner, a 20 foot low loss tower and motorized rotating head, allowing for 360° polarization adjustment.
1,400 Foot Test Range
This Range is equipped with azimuth over elevation over azimuth three axis positioner mounted on a 12 foot tower. It accommodates larger antennas and higher operating frequencies.
